AAR is hiring a Chief Inspector to lead the Quality Control Department and have final authority on releasing airframes, engines, propellers, appliances, and component parts to service. The role oversees FAA and airworthiness compliance, inspection standards, documentation, incoming materials, vendor work, parts control, CAPA, audits, calibration, quality issues, and the development of Quality Control personnel. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, at least five years of Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience in a 14 CFR Part-121, Part-135, or Part-145-certified entity, an FAA Airframe and Powerplant license, and supervisory experience with a team of 30 or more. The position offers a base salary of $108,000 to $135,000 annually plus medical, dental, vision, retirement, paid time off, and other benefits.
