Description
The Optical Fiber Inspector tests and inspects optical fiber and sub-cables during production, using OTDR equipment and measuring tools to check length, breaks, attenuation, wall thickness, diameter, concentricity, print, and color. The role evaluates inspection data, completes paperwork, supports customer service and quality initiatives, and follows company policies. It requires a high school diploma or GED, six months of related experience or training preferred, and the ability to work with test equipment, follow quality procedures, complete documentation, and work in a team. The position is scheduled 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with some flexibility, overtime availability, and a 44-hour weekly schedule.
