This involves splicing, maintaining, and repairing fiber optic cables (underground, direct bury, and aerial), installing telecommunications services, and testing signal strength. The technician must effectively communicate with customers and colleagues, operate various tools and test equipment, maintain vaults and taps, travel to sites, and perform other related duties as assigned.
