Description
The Pre-Apprentice performs unskilled construction-related work under the direct supervision of a journeyman, including material handling, loading and unloading, staging, clean-up, site organization, tool and equipment delivery, vehicle cleaning, and reporting. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, trade-related math, tape-measure reading, a valid driver’s license, willingness to join a union affiliate, and successful drug and background screening. The work may involve heights, confined spaces, weather, chemicals, noise, and heavy equipment, and pre-apprentices are not permitted to operate heavy equipment, welders, or perform energized electrical or layout/design work.
