Description
The Pre-Apprentice performs material-handling and site-support work under the direct supervision of a journeyman, including loading and unloading, staging, cleaning, restocking, delivering tools and equipment, and reporting time and equipment. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, trade-related math, tape-measure reading, a valid driver’s license, willingness to join a union affiliate, and successful drug and background screening. The work may involve heights, confined spaces, weather, noise, chemicals, and heavy equipment, and pre-apprentices are not permitted to operate heavy equipment, welders, or perform energized electrical or layout/design work.
