The Long Beach Unified School District is seeking Instructional Aide - Special candidates for substitute and 3.8-hour part-time positions, with future 6-hour opportunities potentially available. The role supports certificated staff in classrooms and other learning environments by reinforcing instruction, tutoring students, monitoring behavior, assisting with physical and hygienic needs, providing health-care treatments, supporting assistive technology, and performing related clerical and classroom duties. Candidates must have high-school-equivalent education, at least two years of higher-education study or an associate degree, or a Personnel Commission examination; six months of paid or volunteer experience working with children in a structured environment is required.
