Journey Community Schools is hiring an Instructional Assistant to support classroom teachers and after-school programs by managing student behavior, developing lesson plans, assessing students, providing differentiated instruction, maintaining records, and helping students with learning challenges. The role also includes teaching or co-teaching advisory classes, supporting academic progress, participating in professional development, and pursuing teacher credentialing. Applicants should have knowledge of child cognitive development, strong communication and collaboration skills, an associate’s degree or two years of college experience, and preferably a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field plus at least one year of student-teaching experience.
