Description
Aspire Public Schools is hiring a part-time Instructional Aide for 28 hours per week to provide personalized education and support to individual students and groups under the direction of special education and general education teachers. The role implements IEPs and behavior intervention plans, provides 1:1 classroom support, assists with health and mobility needs, creates modified instructional materials, tracks progress, collaborates with the IEP team, and uses de-escalation techniques. An associate’s degree or equivalent college credit and passing of the Paraprofessional Test are required; a bachelor’s degree in education, teaching, or a related field is preferred, along with at least one year of special education experience with students of moderate or severe needs or from urban communities.
