Description
The IBA supports students in a special education program by assisting with behavioral and academic interventions, maintaining safe and orderly environments, supporting crisis and non-compliant behavior, documenting incidents, supervising instructional and non-instructional activities, and implementing IEP accommodations. The role requires knowledge of PBIS, Mandt, and trauma-informed practices, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to physically manage student safety. Qualifications include an associate degree or 60 post-secondary credits, a high school diploma or equivalent, relevant special education knowledge, a Pennsylvania Special Education Paraeducator credential, one year of special-needs school experience, and a valid driver's license.
