The Lansing School District is hiring an Instructional Assistant to support Early Elementary students in a 1.0 FTE, five-day, eight-hour-per-week role. The position focuses on literacy, math, library services, small-group and one-on-one student support, safety, parent communication, and collaboration with teachers and school leaders. Applicants must have an associate's degree, 60 completed college credits, or proof of passing the ETS Paraprofessional Exam; prior experience in small-group and RTI settings, IEP understanding, and a desire to become a certified teacher are preferred. The role requires physical movement, lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasional use of computers and radios.
