Description
The Instructional Assistant supports classroom teachers in delivering small- and large-group instruction, implementing Tiered Interventions, monitoring student academic progress, developing lesson plans, using technology, and assisting with classroom climate and behavior. The role also supports student learning, field trips, record keeping, and professional development, while developing the assistant’s own teaching ability. Applicants need an AA degree or 60 semester units, at least three years of experience working with children, and bilingual Spanish/English ability is preferred.
