Central Oregon Community College is hiring a temporary, part-time Instructional Assistant – Fire Science for the 2026–2027 academic year in Bend. The role supports the primary instructor in structure fire science laboratory courses by assisting with student questions, lab procedures, safety monitoring, quizzes, grading, curriculum development, equipment setup, data entry, and analysis. Applicants need a high school diploma or GED, one year of Structure Fire Science coursework or related experience, and must be able to safely lift 50 pounds; an AAS degree, community college teaching experience, an Oregon driver’s license, and bilingual English-Spanish fluency are preferred. The position pays $30.00 per hour.
