Description
The Instructional Laboratory Technician I, Chemistry prepares physical-science laboratories for face-to-face class sessions, responds to student questions, and supports faculty and instructional laboratory technicians. Responsibilities include preparing solutions and laboratory materials, maintaining stockrooms and inventories, receiving and storing chemicals and equipment, handling chemical waste, maintaining safety and SDS records, assisting with experiment setup and cleanup, and supporting audio-visual operations. The role is district-wide, may involve travel between facilities, and requires a high school diploma, physical-science coursework or laboratory experience, and the ability to work with hazardous chemicals and lift up to 30 pounds.
