The Instructional Support Specialist, Fire Technology supports fire technology and wildland fire safety instruction at Columbia College in Sonora, California. The role prepares and presents complex laboratory exercises, calibrates and maintains firefighting equipment and simulators, manages hazardous materials and inventory, coordinates vendor services, and provides hands-on academic support and tutoring. It is a 40-hour-per-week, 12-month-per-year classified position with a salary range of $36–$5,576–$7,124 under the 2025–2026 schedule, and applicants may qualify through two education-and-experience patterns.
