Description

Guilford Technical Community College is hiring an adjunct Instructor, Artificial Intelligence (AI) for full-time or part-time teaching. The role prepares students to use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Microsoft Co-Pilot, covering AI literacy, responsible use, generative AI, emerging tools, and foundational concepts. The instructor will develop lesson plans, deliver classroom instruction, assess student learning, maintain records, support student success, and may teach on any of the college’s campuses, including Greensboro, Jamestown, High Point, or Cameron.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in artificial intelligence, computer science, data science, computer information systems, or a related field from an accredited institution
Required Previous Experiences: Two years of professional experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, or a related technical field
Teaching or industry training experience in AI concepts, including machine learning fundamentals, data analysis and modeling, and AI applications
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in artificial intelligence, computer science, data science, computer information systems, or a related field
Industry-recognized certification in machine learning, Azure AI, AWS machine learning, TensorFlow, or a related field
More than two years of industry experience applying AI in business, healthcare, education, or another applied domain
Postsecondary teaching experience
Experience assessing student learning outcomes
Experience teaching distance learning or alternate instructional delivery systems
