Description
The Direct Support Professional provides in-home and community support to intellectually and developmentally challenged adults, including daily living skills, mobility training, coping skills, community navigation, money management, safe self-medication, and customized interventions based on individual service plans. The role also involves documenting care, communicating with stakeholders, participating in training and meetings, and coaching others. It requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 18 years of age, relevant experience with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, a California driver’s license, automobile insurance, and English proficiency; bilingual English/Spanish ability is preferred. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with Saturday and Sunday off.
