Description
The Reading Instructor will provide academic instruction in reading at the Tongue Point Job Corps Center in Astoria, Oregon, following approved curricula and supporting students’ academic and trade goals. Responsibilities include directing and assisting students, counseling on behavior and study habits, coordinating with counselors, developing lessons, maintaining a safe training environment, and participating in assessments and documentation. The role is full-time with eight-hour Monday-through-Friday shifts, pays $45,000 annually, and requires a bachelor’s degree, a valid teaching certificate in the state of employment, one year of related experience, and a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
