Description
The HVAC Insulation Technician installs, measures, cuts, fits, and finishes insulation on HVAC ductwork, chilled-water pipes, refrigerant lines, and related equipment. The role also applies cladding, seals joints, removes or repairs insulation, reads technical drawings, coordinates with HVAC and pipe-fitting teams, and follows safety procedures. Candidates need 2–5 years of HVAC or industrial insulation experience, an ITI or relevant educational background, knowledge of insulation materials and application methods, basic technical-drawing skills, and the ability to work safely with hand and power tools in remote locations.
