The GHS Registration Specialist verifies medical insurance benefits and obtains pre-certification or prior authorization for scheduled imaging exams, coordinates patient care, handles insurance and financial correspondence, registers patients, collects co-payments and outstanding balances, and serves as a patient liaison and receptionist. The role requires a high school education, two years of medical pre-certification experience, strong communication and computer skills, medical terminology knowledge, and the ability to work varied shifts, weekends, holidays, and emergency shifts.
