Description
The Intake Coordinator – Mental Health serves as the primary contact for intake and referral inquiries, documents interactions, supports level-of-care determinations, schedules assessments, explains program and insurance information, facilitates referrals, guides patients through admission, obtains insurance pre-certifications, and maintains referral and quality-improvement data. The role requires a master’s degree in Social Work with LMSW, LCSW, LPC, or PLPC, knowledge of behavioral health care levels, insurance authorization, and patient intake workflows, plus strong communication, documentation, and customer-service skills.
