Description
Azora is hiring a Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) Design and Characterization Engineer to develop and validate integrated photonic devices and modules for high-sensitivity optical transceivers. The role covers PIC design, simulation, foundry tape-outs, wafer- and chip-level characterization, packaging, coherent and photon-counting receiver integration, and radiation and thermal assessment for space applications. It requires an MS or PhD in a relevant field or equivalent industry experience, at least three years of PIC design and characterization experience, and proficiency with photonic simulation and layout tools. The role is onsite or hybrid in Tempe, Arizona or the Bay Area, California, with some travel.
