Description

Vast is hiring an Integration Build Engineer to support the assembly, integration, testing, manufacturing planning, and production transition of its E-2 engine for small launchers. The role collaborates with design and engineering teams, develops assembly procedures and work instructions, troubleshoots nonconformances, specifies manufacturing tools, and implements shop-floor improvements. It is a full-time exempt position in Hawthorne, California, requiring a relevant bachelor’s degree, at least two years of manufacturing engineering experience, hardware integration and testing experience, and the ability to work overtime or weekends as needed.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: At least 2 years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in aerospace
Hands-on hardware integration and testing experience
Experience working with technicians and running multi-person operations
Experience writing test plans, procedures, presentations, and providing go/no-go judgment and rationale
Preferred Qualifications: Strong communication and collaboration skills
Proficiency in CAD software, such as Siemens NX
Strong GD&T skills and drawing review experience
Understanding of fluid systems, tube manufacturing, welding, and assembly
Problem-solving and root cause analysis
Hands-on testing and troubleshooting of fluid components
