Description

Control Risks is seeking a Senior Consultant to join their Intelligence and Investigations team. The role involves leading research and intelligence-led projects focusing on integrity, anti-corruption, fraud-related issues, and other business risks for clients. This position also includes mentoring a team of consultants, achieving revenue targets through superior client and account management, developing bespoke proposals, and continuously improving services. The consultant will define and implement competitive business strategies, identify differentiation opportunities, increase business generation in Japan, and represent Control Risks at various business development functions.

Required Previous Experiences: Experience selling Business Intelligence & Compliance consulting services.
Understanding of research complexities in Japan.
Demonstrated extensive experience in a commercial environment.
Proven success in project management and repeat business acquisition.
Quantifiable track record of new business growth.
Proven experience in team management to achieve targets.
Strong proven experience in client relationship building.
Commercial experience across Japan and Northeast Asia, understanding market specifics for corporate investigation services.
Ability to interpret management accounts.
Advanced skills in research, business intelligence, analysis, and report writing.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of reviewing and ensuring documents are professionally ready for clients.
Attention to detail.
Ability to manage subcontractors for market inquiries.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines under pressure.
Demonstrable strong people management skills.
Methodical approach and strong project management skills.
Experience managing volume screening engagements.
Demonstrable commercial acumen in project planning and pricing.
Preferred Qualifications: Support leadership, development, and coaching of a high-performing practice team.
Invest in ongoing enhancement and development of the team, colleagues, service line, and client relationships.
Identify and resolve skill gaps, and recruit and retain high-caliber consultants in consultation with local management.
Set and periodically review objectives in line with company policy.
Manage performance and offer specialist training to develop the practice team.
Effectively manage commercial aspects of the practice, including overall analysis of projects to ensure profitability, utilization, and realization targets are met.
Participate in financial control of the practice, including budget planning.
