The Intelligent Document Processing / OCR Engineer designs and implements intelligent document-processing capabilities to convert electronic records into reliable, structured, and traceable information. This involves assessing document quality, applying OCR and image preprocessing, developing classification and field-extraction methods, establishing confidence scores, and configuring OCR models. The engineer will coordinate with various teams like Microsoft Cloud Solution Architects and Government subject-matter experts, ensuring efficient automated processing of new documents.
