Cherry Bekaert Recruiting & Staffing is partnering with a higher education institution in Louisville, Kentucky, to hire an experienced Interim Controller for an immediate, 3–4 month contract. The role leads day-to-day accounting and finance operations, manages month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, audits, and accounting staff, while providing financial guidance to executive leadership. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and prior controller or assistant controller experience are required; higher education, nonprofit, or public sector experience is preferred, and a CPA designation is a plus.
