Cherry Bekaert Recruiting is seeking an experienced Interim Controller for a six-month contract engagement in Washington, DC, with two days onsite and three days remote. The role leads accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end close, audit support, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, internal controls, and process improvements, while partnering with executive leadership. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, at least seven years of progressive accounting and finance experience, prior controller or assistant controller experience, Sage Intacct expertise, and strong Excel and analytical skills; CPA designation and nonprofit or grant-funded organization experience are preferred.
