The Interior Designer will support all aspects of interior design for the Carnival Cruise Line fleet, including area refurbishments, new building projects, and physical and functional improvements. Responsibilities include responding to repair requests, creating furniture, fabric, wall, lighting, and finish specifications, researching products, proposing FF&E solutions, approving contractor materials and shop drawings, producing CAD, Photoshop, 3D models, renderings, floor plans, elevations, and specifications, developing presentations, reviewing completed projects, and coordinating with architects, designers, and contractors. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in interior design or a related field, at least five years of commercial or marine design experience, and strong AutoCAD, Photoshop, 3D rendering, and hand-sketching skills. It is an in-office role based in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area, with Monday–Thursday work from a designated Carnival office, Friday work from home, and 25–50% ship-based travel.
