The role involves monitoring environments, responding to alerts, executing runbooks, supporting deployments, developing scripts and tools, investigating root causes, maintaining databases, participating in on-call rotations, and collaborating with development teams to improve reliability. It requires 4–8 years of software development experience, strong Java skills, API and microservices experience, basic cloud experience, monitoring knowledge, Couchbase and PostgreSQL experience, and strong analytical and debugging skills.
