Okane is hiring a full-time Intermediate Consultant (Geochemist) to support mine closure planning and sustainable land stewardship across the North American region. The role involves developing mine closure solutions, preparing technical reports, applying metal leaching and acid rock drainage knowledge, building and calibrating geochemical and reactive transport models, analyzing field and laboratory data, conducting sampling and investigations, and mentoring junior staff. Candidates need a relevant bachelor’s or post-graduate degree, Canadian professional registration or immediate eligibility, geochemical modelling software experience, and approximately five or more years of relevant consulting, mining, or applied geochemistry experience. The position is open to the Saskatoon, Calgary, or Cranbrook offices and offers compensation of 90,000–110,000 CAD; applications were due by October 16, 2026.
