Description
Kraken Robotics is hiring an Intermediate Electrical Engineer in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador, with remote work within Canada considered and a planned transfer to Mount Pearl after about six months. The role focuses on designing mixed-signal PCBs and embedded electrical systems for subsea robotics and sensing platforms, architecting power, signal integrity, and embedded control systems, and developing designs that perform in extreme deep-ocean environments. The engineer will collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and systems teams, guide products from prototype through production and field deployment, and mentor junior engineers and co-op students. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field, 4+ years of experience, and strong troubleshooting skills in areas like noise, grounding, and EMI/EMC; nice-to-have experience includes subsea, marine, microelectronics, and tools such as Altium, Zuken E3, or LabVIEW.
