emergiTEL is hiring an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer for a permanent role in Ottawa, Ontario, supporting the design, licensing, manufacturing, testing, and process development of sealed sources and transport packages for healthcare and nuclear technology. The position leads mechanical engineering projects, coordinates prototypes and equipment, prepares engineering analyses and test specifications, and provides technical guidance and quality control. A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required, while three or more years of relevant experience is preferred; nuclear industry experience, hot-cell equipment, automated welding, radiation-resistant materials, and leak-testing knowledge are assets. The role requires occasional overtime and travel, completion of required Nuclear Energy Worker training and certification, and offers $80,000–$100,000 per year.
