Description

SOCOTEC is seeking interns for a 6-month period starting in January 2026. The intern will report to the Head of SOCOTEC Infrastructure's "Maritime, Inland Waterways, and Hydraulics" Business Line. Responsibilities include reviewing design studies, conducting technical site visits and inspections, supervising execution works, writing reports, providing technical advice, processing spatial data using GIS, and assisting with business development activities.

Additional Information

Preferred Qualifications: Strong skills in civil engineering, particularly in maritime and inland water structures and works, for verification of sizing/design, carrying out back-calculations, providing diagnostic and inspection recommendations.
Skills in geotechnics and hydraulics are a plus.
Good interpersonal skills, active listening, and strong communication both orally and in writing (French and English).
Interest in teamwork, while also having a sense of independence.
Strong organizational skills and being rigorous in managing and tracking assignments.
Responsive, dynamic, curious, and able to adapt well.
Enjoy and have the ability to do field interventions, with flexibility and availability for short assignments in France.
