Itron is hiring a 2027 Summer Data Science Intern in Liberty Lake, Washington, for a 10-week summer internship from May/June through August/September 2027. The intern will support production data and machine learning pipelines, cloud infrastructure, large-scale data preparation, exploratory data analysis, model research and testing, and cross-functional collaboration on utilities and energy solutions. The role requires current enrollment in a related bachelor's program, at least two years of college coursework, Python and SQL proficiency, and exposure to machine learning; prior data science, analytics, software engineering, or machine learning experience is preferred. The position offers a hybrid work schedule and a Liberty Lake, Washington hourly salary of $15.87 to $44.23.
