Description
The Social Work Intern provides supervised direct and indirect treatment to individuals who are chemically dependent, including individual, group, and family counseling; psychosocial assessments; treatment-plan design and review; progress reporting; referrals; case conferences; lectures, seminars, and workshops; and crisis intervention. The intern develops clinical competency through shadowing, weekly supervision, and participation in staff meetings and case conferences, and must be enrolled in an accredited program in social work, mental health counseling, psychology, or OASAS education.
