Description
Jensen Hughes is hiring college students for internships within its Fire Protection Engineering department at locations throughout the United States. The intern will develop, review, and modify fire protection drawings; prepare plans, specifications, and inspection reports; assist with design problems, field investigations, and design computations; identify applicable codes and standards; conduct building code, egress, fire detection, alarm, smoke control, sprinkler, and water-supply reviews; perform hydraulic and other basic calculations; and communicate with project teams and clients. Applicants must be working toward a bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, demonstrate engineering or construction-technology knowledge, and possess intermediate communication, computer, and problem-solving skills. The national pay range is $20–$30 USD, with healthcare coverage and other benefits mentioned.
