Description

Micron Technology is hiring an ID1 High Volume Manufacturing Equipment Engineer at its Boise, Idaho semiconductor manufacturing site. The role monitors, sustains, and improves high-volume manufacturing equipment; performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, installations, engineering tests, documentation, and root-cause investigations; and supports yield, uptime, quality, and continuous-improvement initiatives. The position requires a current engineering student, knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, and programming or data-analysis experience, with semiconductor manufacturing, cleanroom, automation, and AI-related experience preferred.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Current student pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field; graduation before September 2026 is not permitted.
Required Previous Experiences: Programming and data analysis experience using Python, Java, Tableau, MATLAB, or Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications: Strong verbal and written communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Experience applying SPC, DOE, 8D, or other structured problem-solving methodologies.
Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, equipment systems, and cleanroom operations.
Experience implementing automation, AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics to improve equipment performance, reliability, or operational efficiency.
Experience or interest in developing Agentic AI workflows for current or future processes.
