Description
The Bloomington-Normal YMCA offers an unpaid internship program for undergraduate and graduate students, providing exposure to non-profit administration, operations, business office functions, marketing and brand management, membership services, and sports, youth, aquatics, and wellness programming. Interns may shadow the CEO and COO, participate in leadership and operations meetings, complete at least one large project, and work standard 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. days with possible variations and weekend work. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, current university enrollment, computer literacy, time management, and the ability to obtain CPR/AED and First Aid and Mandated Reporting certifications; the YMCA covers certification costs.
