Framatome is hiring an intern to modernize a hydraulic forces analysis code used for nuclear steam generator fuel assembly design by converting it from Shell and Fortran to Python. The intern will learn the existing code and computing environment, modernize its main features, apply it to existing test cases, benchmark results, and write documentation. The role requires fluid mechanics knowledge, Linux proficiency, Fortran and Python skills, and initial experience applying fluid mechanics to an industrial computational code. It is based in La Défense, Hauts-de-Seine, France, with a desired start date of 02/03/2027 and an annual gross salary of EUR 12,600–17,400.
