Description
CEA/Cesta is seeking a Master's Year 1/2 intern to research and develop numerical methods for hypersonic flow across rarefied, transitional, and continuum regimes. The work focuses on extending the UGKP and UGKWP methods to ES-BGK real-gas models, implementing them in massively parallel simulation codes, and studying their mathematical foundations, including implicit time-stepping for steady-state flows. The internship lasts a gap year or six months at the Cesta site in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France, and requires applied mathematics, fluid mechanics, and programming skills in Fortran, Python, or C++.
