Description
EDF is hiring an internship R&D Study Engineer focused on numerical optimization and computational fluid dynamics. The intern will work in EDF R&D with Edvance to improve the computational performance of the TREFLE operating simulator for the EPR Flamanville 3 nuclear reactor, including analyzing linear systems, testing row condensation, developing a linear solver in the code_saturne code, and validating results on the borated water supply circuit. The role requires a Bac+4 or Bac+5 degree in scientific computing, numerical analysis, or fluid mechanics, C++ or C knowledge, Linux proficiency, and scientific rigor. The internship is for 5 to 6 months, with a preferred start of 5 October 2026, and is based in Chatou, France.
