Description
Barr is seeking a structural engineering intern to join its Minneapolis team for the summer of 2027. The intern will support structural design and analysis for hydropower, wind turbine, industrial processing, fuels, power plant, mining, and other heavy industrial facilities; prepare drawings, specifications, and design documentation; assist with cost estimating; and participate in construction inspections and fieldwork. The role is based in Minneapolis, may include up to 30% travel, and offers a hybrid work arrangement. Candidates need a civil engineering degree with relevant physics and mathematics coursework, junior or senior standing, a minimum 3.2 GPA, strong computer skills, a valid driver’s license, and authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship. Compensation is $22.66–$30.46 per hour, with possible discretionary cash bonuses and benefits.
