Description
Framatome is hiring an internship study engineer to develop an alternative approach to in-power steam-line-break analyses for four-loop pressurized water reactors by introducing 3D kinetic neutronic and thermal-hydraulic coupling. The intern will work with deterministic neutron calculation chains, core thermal-hydraulic codes, multiparametric modeling, and the analysis of protection-chain responses and safety margins. The role is based in Lyon, France, for 5 to 6 months starting in the first half of 2027, and requires a nuclear engineering background, numerical simulation, scientific computing, and Python skills.
