Description
Heartland Family Service offers clinical internships for students in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology, and accredited art therapy programs. Interns receive structured supervision and may work in outpatient, residential, school-based, correctional, shelter, and recovery settings, participating in assessments, treatment planning, therapy services, documentation, crisis intervention, supervision, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Therapy interns focus on direct clinical services, while housing and case-management interns focus on stabilization, resource linkage, advocacy, and community support. Placements may be single-site or multi-site, and interns are expected to travel reliably between agency locations.
