Description
The Interpreter I provides professional consecutive and simultaneous oral interpretation between English and a target language in judicial proceedings, health settings, and social services venues. The role requires faithful, confidential, impartial interpretation; dependable performance; adherence to medical and legal interpreter ethics; and the ability to accept assignments based on skill, setting, and client needs. A high school diploma or GED, fluency in English and the target language, successful completion of Language Bank Basic Training, and an acceptable criminal background check are required, while two years of college and two years of related experience are preferred. The position pays $22.98-$24.42 per hour and requires travel and a flexible schedule.
