Description
The Inventory Control Specialist maintains and monitors fixed-asset inventory records, identifies surplus, shortages, duplications, and losses, prepares reports, and assists with locating, tagging, transferring, and disposing of property. The role also conducts periodic physical counts, investigates discrepancies, and may supervise a small number of stock attendants or clerical personnel. It requires two years of inventory-control experience or an equivalent education substitute, a valid New York State driver's license, and successful completion of an Onondaga County civil-service exam, background check, education and work-history verification, and drug screening.
