Universal Quantum is hiring an Ion Transport Designer to design and test waveforms for fast and efficient ion transport on surface ion traps, develop inter-module UQConnect waveforms, contribute to ion-trap and physics-model optimisation, collaborate with hardware teams, and analyse experimental results. The role requires waveform-design experience, classical and quantum dynamics modelling, numerical optimisation, Python scientific coding, a PhD in ion-trap physics or a similar field, and published research; quantum-computing experience is a plus.
