Reddit is hiring a Product Backend Engineer for its Consumer Engineering organization to build and scale user-facing iOS experiences across multiple consumer product teams. The role covers the full development lifecycle, from product definition and technical design through implementation, experimentation, launch, and ongoing improvement, while partnering with product, design, data science, machine learning, backend, and platform teams. Responsibilities include improving iOS architecture, performance, reliability, accessibility, developer workflows, and engineering standards, as well as mentoring teammates and leading cross-functional technical initiatives. Candidates should be experienced iOS engineers with Swift, strong mobile architecture and testing skills, and experience building scalable consumer applications.
