The IT Database Engineer designs, implements, and supports relational database platforms in traditional data centers and Azure cloud environments. The role covers Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL administration, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, high availability, backup and recovery, monitoring, security, documentation, and on-call incident response. The position requires production database experience, hands-on data center and Azure experience, strong database internals knowledge, troubleshooting and tuning skills, HA/DR and backup/restore experience, and scripting/automation proficiency.
