Description
The Database Operations Engineer installs, upgrades, patches, monitors, tunes, backs up, and secures database systems; supports incidents, requests, changes, and problems; provides on-call and business-continuity support; develops operational procedures and automations; and recommends emerging database technologies. The role requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, strong SQL and SQL Server skills, and familiarity with database, Linux, Windows, Java, PowerShell, and Python environments.
