Description

World Fuel is hiring a Software Engineer – Platform Automation & Integrations for its Platform Engineering team. The role designs, builds, and supports backend services, integrations, GraphQL APIs, automation tools, self-service capabilities, identity and access management solutions, and cloud infrastructure. It requires experience with Atlassian Jira Service Management, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, APIs, systems integration, cloud technologies, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and Agile/DevOps environments. The position is based in San José, Costa Rica and offers a hybrid work environment.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Required Previous Experiences: Experience administering or integrating with Atlassian Jira Service Management (JSM).
Experience developing software solutions with JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or similar languages.
Hands-on experience building and supporting APIs, ideally with GraphQL.
Experience with systems integration and cloud technologies.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
Understanding of CI/CD practices and automated deployment pipelines.
Experience working within Agile and DevOps environments.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Apollo GraphOS or enterprise GraphQL platforms.
